{four blogs + four confessions = a good read}

Happy new year!
On the first day of this lovely year I have four fabulous blogs to share with you all.
And when I say that they fabulous, I mean I totally love each and every one of them.
For reals.

Read three random facts about each of them next to their picture, followed by some awesome confessions and favorite posts.

A confession: I like to rub ears. Even typing it out sounds weird, it totally is. When I was little, I would spend the night at my grandparents house probably once a week, and my Poppy (my grandpa) would let me rub his ears to fall asleep. To this day I have continued this crazy obsession...to my husband, to my brother...it usually has to be a boy, they have to be cold ears...and the floppier the better. You can think I am insane, it is okay.

Favorite Blog Posts:
-All of our wedding recaps, specifically this one.
- Since we live overseas, traveling is a big part of who we are right now. We took a trip to Italy this past May and it was unbelievable, I really love this post about Venice.
- And this Oreo dessert recipe is so, so good.

A confession: Back in college, my husband and his best friend (who's also one of my close friends) managed to convince me for 7 months that they were cousins. I mean, they've always acted like siblings (or cousins??) and they share the same last name. :) I suppose that's all I needed to be convinced. I finally cornered them one day with a lot of detail-specific questions. HA! Well, I guess they still kind of win the clever-award in the end…but don't tell them that. ;)

A confession: Some might think this is embarrassing but I tend to find embarrassing moments to be hilarious. So, I've always been bad with remembering people's names (that's also a random fact), but this one takes the cake. I went on a date with a guy who I thought his name was Ben. I even had him in my phone as Ben. Told other people his name was Ben. In my mind his name was Ben. It wasn't until about two hours into the date that I learned his name in fact wasn't Ben, it was actually Dan! He was a sport about it and we were able to laugh it off. (Faith)

Favorite Blog Posts:
Blueberry Lavender Muffins. While not necessarily a favorite post, it is one of our most viewed from Pinterest. You gotta love a good pin post every now and then.

A confession: I am technologically challenged, to say the least. I got married after my sophomore year of college and spent a few years living overseas since my husband was in the Air Force. Technology changed a lot in that time and email and online learning really took off. (Yes, I lived in a time before the internet. Yes, this makes me feel ancient.) I went back to finish my degree in Early Childhood Education once we returned to the States and got a CD instead of a paper course catalog. I wondered how I would scroll through the tracks to get to the courses I wanted to take, but just thought I'd figure it out. I stuck it in my car CD player, but nothing happened. I took it out and tried again. Still no go. I brought it home and told my very techy husband the story and he started laughing hysterically. I had in my hand a CD-ROM, not a CD. Not my most brilliant moment, by any stretch. He still tells people that story.
