Firstly - let's start out with your lovely blog. What inspired you to begin your blog, and has that changed since you started?
I first started this blog back when Palmer was just a few months old as a way of both documenting our lives with her, as well as keeping our family and friends up to date with Palmer and our lives, as most of our family live far away. Then, it became a creative outlet for me. It became a way for me to write down my thoughts and a way to share my feelings. I've always found writing things down easier than speaking them. Now, my blog does still encompass these things, but it also brings a sense of community. There are so many bloggers out there who have become my friends. Blogging is a great online community and a place where you can find people going through similar times as you.

Your blogs name is "crazily normal", how did you decide on that?
When I first started my blog, I had a name I wasn't happy with. I don't even remember what it was. A few months into it, I changed it to Crazily Normal because that's what we are. Our lives are crazy at the best of times, hectic you could say, but we are absolutely normal. Crazy is normal. I'd be worried if you were a family with a baby or toddler and you weren't a little crazy!

If you suddenly had five hours to yourself to do whatever you wanted, what would you do?
Wow, 5 hours to myself. That seems like an awfully long time. But, I think I would spend the day being pampered. I'd hit up the gym, then spend the rest of the time getting massaged, pedicured, manicured. Maybe get my hair done. I would do things that I don't do normally or have time for in my regular life! And of course, have a really great meal, one that I didn't have to cook myself!

Your little gal, Palmer, is so SO cute. What is your favorite part of being a mommy?
Aww, thanks Amy. You're too sweet!!

Right now, my favorite part of being a mommy is watching Palmer learn and grow. She is in a stage now where she is just soaking up every single bit of everything around her. Her vocabulary is exploding with new words. Her imagination is starting to peek through. She is learning about the potty. The amazing part of being a mommy is knowing this child you created is becoming an independent little person. Sometimes I just watch her from a distance and my heart just swells with love for this little girl! Plus, how cute is she? I just can't get enough of her!

Looks like you nabbed a mighty fine man. Tell me more about your journey.
I don't tell too many stories about Mitch on my blog, but he really is a great man. He is an amazing husband to me and an amazing father to Palmer. We first met 10 years ago when we were working at a grocery store together. Not long after meeting, we were inseparable. There haven't been too many days that we've not been together.

If it wasn't for Mitchell, I really wouldn't be where I am today. He was the one who suggested I apply into nursing when my first choice in school was a degree that wouldn't get me to a place I wanted. So I have him to thank for that.
We got married in January 2011, the month after I finished nursing school. We had a small, wonderfully perfect wedding in Mexico. Then just one year after that, we got pregnant with Palmer all while building our current house.

He is supportive of everything I do and is always pushing me to be the best person I can. Seriously, the best guy ever!

Girl, you have some talent. I have seen quite a few DIY projects going on. What are your top three favorite DIY's?

Well, I wouldn't call myself a DIY queen or anything, but I do enjoy getting crafty. I have a list of things I want to do for the fall (whether they get done or not is another story), but, my top 3 favorite DIY's that I have done have to be:

(1) My Gallery Wall - I'll get a post up soon, so check back!
(which I finally got around to doing 2 weeks ago)

(3) Shag Rag Rug

I am in the process of finishing up a dresser for Palmer's room so this rug is going to fit in perfectly to her new colour scheme. The walls are teal and the dresser is light purple.

Lastly, where do you see yourself in five years?

This is always a tough question for me to answer. I think where we are in our lives right now is pretty close to where we want to be. I would love to still be in this house, working as a nurse (as I do now), with 2 little munchkins running around. So, to answer the question, in 5 years, I'd like to have one more baby, but otherwise, be exactly where I am. I love my job. I love my house. I love the life we have.
