{a fourth for the books}

Our fourth was full.
Like overflowing with greatness.
Any day that our farmer takes off to spend with us, is pretty much the best day ever.
And when you throw in friends and family, and a boat, and some kick butt food?
Double best.

Our day started on our fellow farm friends boat. We were a good half hour late.
I blame the farmer.
He had woken up at 4 am to run some farm errands so he could join the family for a day of festivities.
And his power nap went a tad long.
I think he was forgiven purely based on the shirt he decided to wear.
Am I right?

We had a delicious brunch, I got peed on,
Beckam thought he was going to drown,
and we swam near a dead fish.
What could be better?

No, but really.
The smiles and laughter were at an all time high.

After a couple of hours on the boat,
we split ways for the kids nap time.

Everyone met back up at our house in the evening for a BBQ and lots more playing.

We also tried our hand at writing with sparklers.
Had it been darker, they would have been perfect.
Regardless we a blast.
And if it had lasted much longer I'm sure my hubby would have started to try and draw obscenities.
We kept it artistic.

There were also some small fireworks that we put off in our driveway.
And by we, I mean we had the pregnant lady do it.
The kids were in awe.
And they thought the fireworks were pretty cool too.

At dark we headed into our nearby small town to watch the fireworks display.
We laid out our blankets on the asphalt.
And ate ritz crackers.
In true American form?
I don't know. But I liked it.
I also enjoyed the extra snuggles from my tired boys.
And the enthusiastic pointing by all.

Also, if you missed my post yesterday, I'm having a big sale on all ad spaces. Check it out here.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
