{pool party}

The other day we had a little pool party. The entire cool crowd was there: Brody, Daddy, Mommy, Gunner, the cats, and the chickens.

After I got Brody all lathered up with sunscreen, we headed outside.

He was distracted at first by his tractor,

and then caught a glimpse of the "pool party" set up.

He wanted me to dive in, but there were strict rules written on the side of the pool saying that no diving was allowed, as it would lead to a broken neck. Shocking.

Gunner just thought it was a large water bowl for him to drink out of.

Getting IN the pool was not in his plans, however playing with the hose and throwing bath toys, rocks and sticks into the water was.

"Da-deee" finally came and joined in with the fun.

He tried to convince Brody getting in was a good idea,

BUT he still wasn't very interested.

Of course, no pool party is complete without goldfish...

...Arnold Palmer's...

{he tried real REAL hard to get it open, to no avail}

...and a little modeling sesh.

I was busy posing my buns off.

Happy Thursday y'all.

Kiss kiss.

  5. I'm so happy I found your blog through Casey Wiegand's blog giveaway.. I am also a farmers wife and your is the first blog I've come across that has anything to do with living on a farm...not that that is a requirement for me to follow, but its nice to have some company. I blog about life on our Illinois farm. Coincidentally, I actually think I started following you on instagram when I cam across a photo of your adorable little man on his pedal tractor so when I clicked on your blog I instantly recognized you guys.. ah the power of social media lol :) Hope you have a lovely week!
