{diy highchair}

I am in the midst of planning my son's and husband's joint b-day party. And of course,  I am using Pinterest for ideas. The other day I ran across this photo:

{adorb, isn't it!?}

I am an aspiring photographer, and thought this was something I HAD to do for Mr. Babes on his birthday. Only problem.... no chair.

Well, I did what all people do when they need something. Craigslist! And sure enough I found one....immediately. And it was 15 bucks - not bad.

Yesterday was the day for the attempted metamorphosis into the Pinterest highchair. Mostly because the hubby stoked a mean fire for me in the garage/shop. It was nice and toasty!

All I purchased for the transformation was some sand paper and spray paint.

Next, I sanded my little heart out on this bugger. Every nook and cranny got a little sand paper action.

I brushed off all of the dust, and gave it a quick wipe down. Then placed some newspaper under it {good thing, check out the last picture}.

Finally, I went a little spray paint crazy. {For the record, spray paint is one of the best inventions EVER! Beats using a paint brush for sure.} I am a little bummed I couldn't find a color closer to the one from Pinterest, but I think this is gonna be super cute still.

You will be able to see the chair in action in a little over a week. Hopefully the pictures with Mr. Baby will turn out as cute as the first picture on this post! I will be hoping for nice weather with lots of sunshine, so he can be in his diap for a few minutes.
